Chance, one of my Paws for Alert students, found his new best friend at Paws in the Park!!! :-) His family picked up Diamond yesterday from the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter. When Chance first saw Diamond, he would not leave her side...his dad had to come get me to talk to Chance about the dog, etc. And, even after we talked about ALL of the exercise she'd need because she's a working dog...and, all of the brushing he'd have to do because she was shedding all over him, Chance still would not leave. I really didn't think they were going to get him away from that dog on Sunday!! :-) Anyway, she's a 2 year old husky...she's a bit timid, but thorougly enjoyed letting Chance love on her. It's a happy ending for Chance and Diamond. :-)
